No longer called cowboy, under new name. I'm assuming new owner as well. Did enjoy this place while it was open

Absolutely delicious!! We came here for the first time and were incredibly impressed. The staff were attentive and friendly, you get an o credible selection of meats and sides, and it's all to your heart's content. The espresso martini was to die for. Would absolutely come back again.

My son has been dying to eat here. He loves steak and trying a variety of foods. We made a reservation online. We parked at a deck around the corner but you can park for free at the funeral home across the street. The staff was really nice. They explained the process and brought our drinks out quickly. The salad bar had some tasty options. We loved the chimichuri sauce. I also enjoyed the potato salad and shrimp. The hot bar had several sides. The mushrooms and greens were good. My son loved the mashed potatoes. The meats were hot and fresh. There was a big variety so everyone can find meats they like. My favorites were the Picanha and lamb leg and chops. They were tender and full of flavor. The only other time I had Brazilian steakhouse the meats were over seasoned. At Cowboys they were not over seasoned and you could really taste meat. We were too full for dessert, but they did look good. We plan to come back in the future for a special occasion.

We had plans to leave on vacation the day after Thanksgiving and decided it was a great opportunity to make reservations for a Thanksgiving meal. My wife began researching options several weeks ago and we decided to try Cowboy's. We made a reservation through Open Table for 1pm. We arrived a few minutes early and while there was a consistent stream of people walking in we were able to provide our name and the hostess took us to a small table near the window. Neither of us had ever been to a Brazilian Steakhouse before but understood the salad items are served buffet style while the various meats are brought table side by gauchos. Our waiter confirmed that we were welcome to grab a plate and explore our options and provided us with a card for the table, one side was red and the other side was green. He explained the gauchos will know based on the card if we are interested in them stopping by. Since we were there on Thanksgiving, they also had additional items to choose from including turkey, mac n cheese and yams. The salad bar was well stocked and organized. The items appeared to be fresh and while we didn't try it all there was a wide selection of items to choose from. Our waiter brought our drink orders and was very attentive. They have a large drink menu with beer, wine and cocktails. Soon after we sat back down the first gaucho stopped in with ham. Over the course of 30-45 minutes we had teriyaki chicken, bacon wrapped filet, top sirloin, turkey, garlic butter filet, ribs, and sausage. We also saw lamb and ribeye. We enjoyed the meats but we did think the ribeye lacked flavor. Overall, this was a great experience and while it is more expensive than what we typically spend it was a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving for the two of us. It also made it easy to go home and finish packing without all the leftovers and kitchen mess.

Great place. I have been to these type of restaurants all around. It ranks up there with one of the best. They did a good job of coming around often and asking if there was something in particular I wanted. All the meats are great and not over cooked. I will say the lamb here was better than some of the places in DC I have visited. Lamb can come off a little gamey if not cooked correctly. They did well. We'll definitely return.

The only cons I will post is I didn't like the fact that the asparagus was served from the cold bar. I mean .......who likes cold asparagus. Also, even after our party left, I waited 30 mins just to try the brisket. It was over cooked....mushy. I would go back. I loved the mashed potatoes with the balsamic mushroom gravy The collard greens were great. My favorite meat would be the garlic steak. Others I tried Beef Brisket, Filet Mignon with Bacon, and Cajun Ribeye Steak I really liked my mix of shrimp and pico de Gallo. I only wish the pico de gallo was room temperature.... And not cold. The lemon drop drink was on point. #winstonsalem #winstonsalemnc #gratuityadded #bestofwinston #forsythcounty #exploreclt #Brazilian #explorepage #steakhouse #steak #food #meat #foodie #beef #instafood #steaklover #grill #foodlover #meatlover #steakdinner #foodstagram #ribeye #yummy #burger #foodblogger #balsamic #collardgreens #shrimp #fruit #lemondrop #winstonsalem #winstonsalemnc #gratuityadded  #bestofwinston  #forsythcounty   #exploreclt #Brazilian #explorepage #steakhouse #steak #food  #meat  #foodie #beef #instafood #steaklover #grill #foodlover #meatlover #steakdinner #foodstagram  #ribeye #yummy #burger #foodblogger  #balsamic #collardgreens #shrimp #fruit #lemondrop

Had an amazing dinner here last night. If you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, the experience is certainly one to remember. To start you can visit the salad/side bar make a salad with a good variety of veggies and toppings, pick from cheese boards, pick from a vast selections of sides like rice, beans, potato salad, pasta salad, fruit salad, mashed potatoes, deli meats and much more. Once back at your table, there is a coaster sized disc turned to red...turn it over to the green side and let the fun begin. Waiters circulating the restaurant will start stopping by your table, each carrying a sword, with a different type/cut of meat to try. Chicken wing, chicken wrapped in bacon, flank steak, top sirloin, filets, filets wrapped in bacon, Parmesan crusted pork, sausage, lamb, ribs....too many others to remember, and all included in your meal! Try as many as you want, turn the waiters away if you don't want what they have, or if you really enjoyed one, ask them to come back...and enjoy the meat feast! Need more sides, go back to the buffet. Make sure you request the server with the grilled pineapple if you don't see him, it's absolutely amazing! They do also have a full menu, but I can't speak to it, as I was there for the full experience, so didn't even look. They also have a full bar, with beer, liquor and wine. This place is great. The food was all delicious, the ambiance quiet and calming. Though a nightmare for vegans....it's a paradise for carnivores. I've been before, and will without a doubt be back again. I highly recommend!

Above and so beyond is an understatement. Tonight we went out celebrating life and overcoming some medical obstacles and we were shown such kindness and welcome. We have met the owner a time or two and he is a great guy, the manager has shown us she is great, and the wait staff and Gauchos are always splendid. Tonight, however, the entire staff went so far above and beyond what I ever expected and I CRIED. Tears of appreciation and tears of joy. I didn't really expect anything special in recognition tonight. I honestly almost didn't go out because I've been so depressed and the weather was terrible. l ended up not getting g dressed up or even feeling sure about if going out was the right choice, but I am so glad we did. As soon as I seen our table my spirits were lifted, the food and drinks were amazing as always and the atmosphere was splendid as usual as well. I always tell friends and family they have to try it because of the food and drinks and I always throw in mention of the attentive wait staff, but now I fully recognize how wonderful the people are who are running everything. Try to pineapple it's amazing and well, endless quality meats speaks for itself. House Sirloin is a favorite and the Parmesan tenderloin is phenomenal. Well worth the trip. Be sure to make a reservation!
